LMH1983: TOF2/3 Alignment Mode

Hello,

My customer has a question about LMH1983.

[Q]

Please tell me the condition that alignment occur when LMH1983 sets the following modes.

1. Auto Align when Misaligned
What is Misaligned situation?

2. One Shot Manual Align
It is executed at the following time.
- write to the init register
- pulse the INIT pin

3. Always Align
Is alignment performed every time the Reference frame rate is changed?

Kudo-san,

1. Misalignment is determined by the LOA_Window register. Please see datasheet section 8.3.10 "TOF1 Alignment".

2. You're correct, the one-shot manual alignment is initiated by the INIT register or INIT pin.

3. Always align causes the PLL/TOF counters to be reset at every reference frame (Fin) pulse. Selecting "Always Align" mode may lead to undesirable timing jumps on the output of CLKout1/TOF1.
