HI TI,

If I use the maximum current to set as limit, can it not be latched off when he triggers the current? (My customer request cannot be latched off when trigger protection)

Or can there be any fault pin that can be set or used? My PD is HOST, have the opportunity to connect the system to the first circuit to force the system power reboot to achieve re-try? (used LM5069 in first circuit )

Hi Delun,

The TPS65987D would do an auto-retry when there is an over-current event. If you have an EC in the system you could set an interrupt for an Overcurrent event and then change the Port Control register to "Disabled" until you are sure the overcurrent condition has been removed.
