    Are you putting TUSB522P between a host and a connector? Please make sure AC coupling caps are populated on the SSTX signal lines that is corresponding to the TUSB522P RX. TUSB522P has a max de-emphasis of 6.2dB , not knowing the device RX receiving capability, you can use this to estimate the trace length between the TUSB522P and connector. In the design example given in the datasheet, 6in is used between the TUSB522P and the connector.
