TCA9803: Timing Requirements

Hi team,

I received a question about TCA9803 from my customer.

The datasheet describes a Timing Requirements in the page 6.  Is this for output requirements?  If so, where is the Input requirements described in the datasheet?

    Hello Yamaguchi-san,

    You are correct that the switching characteristics shown in the datasheet refer to the device's outputs. There aren't any special requirements on the input timing. The device is just a buffer (rather than I2C slave) so there isn't an SDA/SCL timing relationship required, and each input can recognize when signals cross the switching threshold regardless of the signal slew rate/transition time.
