PCA9544A: Asking for the PCA9544APWR power consumption data information

Part Number: PCA9544A

Hi Team,
Customer is asking for the PCA9544APWR power consumption data.
Would you please help for Θja, Θjc, Pd and Pc information under VCC 5V case?

BR,
SHH

  • Hello SHH,

    I've created a thermal modeling request to get the ThetaJC value. Turn around time on this could take up to 2 weeks if there is a lot in the queue.

    To calculate Pc, we need to estimate the power consumption of the device' in operating mode which is worse case plus the power dissipated when the SDA/SCL lines are held low on all channels.

    Poperating = Vcc*Icc = 5V*12uA
    Poperating = 60uW

    "plus the power dissipated when the SDA/SCL lines are held low on all channels."

    PSDA/SCL = Ron*(IoL)^2 where Ron(max) at 5V is about 16 ohms

    Maximum IoL allowed through a channel is 25mA

    PSDA/SCL = 16*(0.025A)^2

    PSDA/SCL = 10mW per SDA/SCL

    PtotalC = Poperating + 4*2*PSDA/SCL

    PtotalC =80.06mW

    Pd in the datasheet mentions 400mW.

    I'll let you know when the thermal data comes in.

    Thanks,

    -Bobby

  • Thermal Data posted above, if you need anything else let me know.
