TPS65982: TPS65982 HOST Device Setting

Hi Sir,

Our customer product is a IPC use the TPS65982 for TYPE C,

is this IPC can be set to Device? How to setting the USB OTG ID pin?

    Hi Hugo,

    The TPS65982 could be either a Host or a Device. However, if you are developing a Thunderbolt Host, then the TPS65983B must be used and an Intel Reference design must be followed.

    if you are device will not support thunderbolt mode, then the TPS65982 can be used. However, I recommend using the TPS65987D instead as it is our latest released PD controller. To configure it for a device, you can download the TPS6598x application customization tool and select a New Project that meets your requirements.
