CVU10000 HMI Help: How can I figure out what the "manual" and "automatic" keyboard buttons are tied to in the program?

Working with a CVU10000 HMI from TI that is paired with a just as old Siemens PLC.

I am updating the HMI with a FactoryTalk View Studio application and am trying to figure out what tag in the PLC the "manual" and "automatic" buttons on the keyboard are tied too.

They are used to go in and out of manual or auto mode for some of the loops, in this case a valve for a tank controlled by a PID in auto and manually in manual.

I know there is not a lot of information to go off of here, and a long shot that someone knows anything about this, but I appreciate any guidance.

Thanks!

  • Hello John,

Unfortunately the CVU-1000 is a very old emulator that was sold-off over a decade ago and no information on that system remains here at TI.  Doing a web search, I did find some companies still actively supporting this, so I recommend you contact one of them.

    Regards,
