TUSB7320: Adjust PCIe output signal amplitude

Hi,

I know that TUSB7320 has been NRND already but let me ask about it because the customer still consider this device.

The customer perform the PCIe compliance test on their test board, and then TUSB7320's PCIe output can't meet the compliance test spec. Actually the signal amplitude goes over +/- 0.6V so they'd like to know if TUSB7320 has any register that can adjust the amplitude of PCIe output signal.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for your response. I already checked Table 4 and Table 105 in datasheet, but I think that this is for USB3.0 output, not for PCIe output. Please check again and give your opinion.

that's the only place I found to change PCIe VOD. Did you test ?

Hi Brian,

Thank you for your response. Let me change the question. Do you have the actual waveform of PCIe output at EVM? I'd like to see it as reference information.

Hi Brian-san,

I also have a similar question from customer.

I assume PCI Register offset "E4h" is controlling USB output not the PCIe output, as it described in the data sheet below.

Q1). What could be thought when user fails in PCIe compliance test ?

Q2). Do you have any hidden register to change the PCIe output amplitude ?

normally we only test USB compliance and can't access PCIe port, that's why don't have PCIe control, what their application?
