Linux/TUSB9260: flashing firmware fails under linux - no error message

Hi Christian,

The Linux version of the flashburner has only been tested on Ubuntu and Fedora Linux distributions. As stated in the "TUSB926x Linux EEPROM Burner: User Guide", Linux kernal 2.6 or newer, eBurner.ko module, and libhid library are required. Are these conditions met?

Can you successfully update your firmware using a Linux PC?

thank you very much for your reply. In deed we've been lacking the eBurner.ko module.
Now we've succeded in compiling and installing the eBurner.ko.

However we bow get the following error when running FB:

PROGRAMMING........
/dev/sda: No such file or directory
Segmentation fault.


As the chip is hardwired to a RasPi CM Mainboard, unfortunately we're unable to try flashing the firmware with a regular LInux PC.

Hmmm, I'm not sure what would cause this error.  Can you reinstall the flashburner using the instructions from sections 1-4 of this document?  This should ensure you have the correct permissions and dependencies.
