Hello,

while searching for a solution to isolate USB3.0 I found this topic:

Unfortunately there is no answer and I could not find a IC or application sheet that answer the question.

Is there really no IC available to isolate USB3.0?

The Host controller TUSB8041 does imho not isolate data and power.

My basic idea was

Host -> USB3.0 -> Isolator?? -> TUSB8041 -> 4xUSB3.0

Of course the supply has to be isolated also.

    Hi Sebastian,

    I am sorry that you were not able to find out whether TI has an USB 3.0 isolator or not by searching in E2E Forum.
    Unfortunately, we currently do not have an isolator that can isolate USB 3.0 at its rated speed. To my knowlodge, currently there is no isolator in the industry from major isolator vendors that supports USB 3.0 at its rated speed.

    We currently have digital isolators that support speeds upto 100Mbps datarate and an LVDS isolator that can go upto 150Mbps. Thanks.
