Hi, does anybody know how the ILIM_ADJ pin works on the TIOL111DMWR?

Specifically I am trying to work out what power rating Rset needs to be since 0201 resistors have a limit of 50mW.

Can anybody confirm if the maximum voltage on the ILIM_ADJ pin is from the VCC_IN side?

Hi Paul,

The voltage at ILIM_ADJ will not exceed VCC_IN. The device actually uses a precision lower-voltage reference based on a band gap voltage on this pin, and then the external resistance functions to generate a current based on this known voltage and the resistance. This forms a current reference that is used internally to set the output over-current detection threshold. Let me know if this is unclear.
