DS90UH947-Q1: Passive components on opposite side of PCB than device

Part Number: DS90UH947-Q1

Hi Team,

Is it acceptable to put the passive components that surround the DS90UH947-Q1 (circled in red below) on the opposite side of the PCB than where the actual device is located? PCB is 10 layers thick.

Thank you,

Jared

  • Hello Jared,

it is recommended to place the small Decoupling capacitors (10nF - 100nF) directly at each pin, as described in the d/s. The big caps can be place on the opposite side of the PCB.

Also the voltage dividers (resistors), on control pins, can be placed on the other side of the PCB.
