As you listed, the maximum wattage of the part is 1250W when exposed to an IEC61000-4-5 pulse which has a 20us half length. Based on the length of the pulse that is applied, the wattage will change significantly. What sort of a pulse are you looking to test against?

Both 8us/20us and 10us/1000us surge pulse test are needed for testing

The device datasheet lists maximum power and current dissipation for both 8/20us and 10/1000us. Does this answer your questions?
