SN75LVPE801: How to wake up SN75LVPE801 from ALP mode? Does it support PCIe L1.2 compliant

Part Number: SN75LVPE801
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALP

Dear Team:

Custerom, Dell, asked us about 2 questions in SN75LVPE801.

1.How to wake up SN75LVPE801 from ALP mode? Whether it miss first message during wake up event?

2.Does it support PCIe L1.2 compliant?

  • Hi Thomas,

The SN75LVPE801 is not fully PCIe compliant.  The input terminations are not 100% detectable using the RXDET process defined in PCIe.

The PCIe L1.2 state turns most of the PCIe functionality off to save power.  No testing is planned to identify if the SN75LVPE801 is compatible with PCIe L1.2 power saving features and requirements.

    Regards,

    Lee
