SW driver for XIO2213B vs. XIO2213A

I have not been able to find any documentation that tells me the differences between the Rev A and Rev B XIO2213 devices, so I don't know if the device driver that we have for the Rev A device will work with the Rev B device being planned for a new project. Does anyone have any experience with the device drivers or can tell me what the differences are between Rev A and Rev B?

  • Stephen,

There were no register changes - as such the changes should be transparent to SW drivers.

The changes were related to the internal clocking circuitry to improve jitter performance.  In addition, there were enhancements made to eliminate the need for the external 1.95V voltage regulator unless alll three ports are configured in BETA mode.

  • Dan - Thanks for the quick response to my question. You've answered it.
