TPS65988: TBT and DP issue

Part Number: TPS65988

Dear sir,

Our customer is using TPS65988DH, and they have some issue below:

1. They cannot not recognize TBT device. (CC log as attachment)

2. Their portA can display a monitor, but portB cannot. (CC log as attachment)

Belows are CC log and .PJT files.

Would you please help to resolve the issue??

Hi CK,

Based on your configuration file, both ports should be behaving the same way. I notice you are using Titan Ridge. Are you using Physical HPD or virtual HPD through I2C? This could lead to your issue.

Additionally, do you have a SPI Flash on the board to contain the configuration?

Dear Eric,

We are using physical HPD.

And of course we have a SPI flash on the board to contain configuration.

Hi CK,

from the looks of it, the device you are using should be the VCONN provide and should initiate the TBT mode entry.

Hi CK,

Can you read back the configuration registers on the device? From your error description, it sounds like the configuration is not being loaded onto the TPS65988. Additionally, do you have a TPS65988EVM available to do testing with? I am not able to reproduce this issue on the EVM when using your project file.
