Hi!

I need serial subLVDS to parallel CMOS interface converter for imx290 in 1080p30 mode.

I have not found a suitable deserializer and I want to use sn64lvds324.

It is necessary to convert 4 serial 111MHz subLVDS channels into one parallel 12 bits 75MHz.
Is it possible to use the sn64lvds324 in the deserializer mode :

input 1 port 4 channel 111 MHz

output 12 bit 75 MHz

without using Vsync/Hsync signals?

I just need a word recovery mechanism..

Hi Alexandr,

The SN65LVDS324 supports SONY sensors that have 1080p @ 10bit and 12bit modes, though it has not been tested for your specific sensor. Please see Table 1 in the datasheet for supported operating modes for Sony sensors.

For Vsync/Hsync, I believe that depends more on your DSP whether they are needed or not. Please see section 8.4.2 of the datasheet for more details.

Sony imx290 does not have a 12bit parallel subLVDS. imx290 supports 1 port 4 channels serial like Aptina sensors. But aptina and sony synchronization codes different and in aptina mode Vsync and Hsync will not be generated.

I'm not need Vsync and Hsync.

Will the deserializer work?

I mean will the word recovery mechanism work?

Hi Alexandr,

Sorry but the datasheet says it only supports Sony LVDS parallel (10-bpp and 12-bpp) so I don't know whether or not it will work for your sensor. That is something you would have to experiment with, as this device was designed specifically for a handful of sensors.
