DS80PCI810: use same SMBUS

Hi Sirs,

Sorry to bother you.

As title, our system use four 810, all of them are use same SMBUS.

So, have any risk on our design?

    By the way, the power consumption are 70mW * 8 channel = 560mW

    Am i correct?

    If our VCC is 3.3v, how many current do we need to provide on this driver?

    Hi Lin,

    Loading capacitance per SDA or SCL is less than 5pF. Maximum loading capacitance is 400pF. Therefor, this means you can have much more than 4 devices on this interface. Therefor there is no problem with having four devices on this SMBus interface.

    Also, 560mW power consumption is reasonable. Worst case power consumption is about 950mW.
