Hi,

Based on DS90UB953-Q1 datasheet this is compatible With DS90UB954-Q1, DS90UB960- Q1, DS90UB934-Q1, DS90UB914A-Q1 Deserializers. May I know whether DS90UB964-Q1 could compatible with DS90UB953-Q1. If not, could you help to list the reason for that. Thanks.

    We do not recommend that you use the 964 with the 953. What application would you need to use the 953 with the 964?

    Hi Michael,

    This is camera module developing application product for automotive, for 964 is desire to use in internal function test. We just want to know why both 953 and 964 is for MIPI application, however, they could not compatible. Please kindly advise.

    Hi Ja,
    The 964 was built to interface with the DS90UB913AQ/913Q/933Q which all take in Parallel data in. The 964 takes that Parallel, FPD-Link signal and turns it into CSI-2. The 953 can output this Parallel FPD-Link signal but it is not the default operation of the 953. the mode is called DVP mode. This mode is more difficult to configure so we generally do not recommend customers use this mode.
