DS90UB947-Q1: RGB888 input DS90UB947+DS90UB940

Part Number: DS90UB947-Q1

Dear Sir,

RGB888 signal come from the  camera, i want to use the DS90UB947 as the Serializer on my AVM360 project, the DS90UB940 on the infotainment board is the another  board ;

my questions:

1. RGB888+DS90UB947  to  DS90UB940 , whether this solution can match ?

2. How to Configurable DS90UB947  24-Bit RGB input mode?

3.because i can't have DS90UB940 infotainment board, i want to debug DS90UB947 board is very difficult, is there any DS90UB940 board can support HDMI output display pannel or other solution  board ,which can support our test DS90UB947 board?

  • Hi ZYT,

    1. yes, it can, this is typical application listed in d/s.

    2. the default is RGB888, pls check ub947's d/s.

    3. you can measure the jitter generation of UB947 based on d/s spec.? also, you can pair it with the panel vendor in your project?

    best regards,

    Steven

  • Hi Steven,
thanks a lot for your reply.
we cann't pair the prototype with the panel , the panel input type is HDMI, i want to output image on the display directly .whether there is good methed to solve this isse?
2.becasue our input signal is RGB888, there is no detail infomation about PIN connection in the DS90UB947 d/s and user guide, could you share with us some reference design about RGB888 input signal PIN connection with DS90UB947?
  • Hi,dear all
did you have had a problem like this ?
in my project,i passed video format rgb888 into UB947 to UB940,at last ub940 output yuv422 format, and the display interface has abnormal,
UI's contents display complete but the color is not right,to my fell that is the RGB's hight bits (one or more bits) was lost.
  • Hi ZYT,
    1. sorry, we have no HDMI output solution from FPD-Link product, you should have one I/f converter for this.
    2. The OpenLDI already defines the RGB data in the 4lanes LVDS channel, pls check the UB947 on the signal mapping in these 4lanes LVDS.

    regards,
    Steven
