Dear TI Sirs

TPS65988 component have dual PD controller.

I am wondering is it possible to control with single TPS65988 component Displayport Alternate mode Sink (TUSB1064) and Source (TUSB1046)  interfaces operating concurrently  or should both Alternate Mode  interfaces have their own separate PD controller like TPS65987D and Alternate Mode redrivers/retimers?

    Hi Pekka,

    Yes, the TPS65988 can enter a different DisplayPort mode on each port independently. So yes, one port can be configured to work with TUSB1046 and the other with TUSB1064. You can use GPIOs to control the TUSB muxes or you can use the I2C master interface on the TPS65988.
