TCA9544A: Looking for 4 to 1 MUX of I2C

    I see you linked the TCA9544A, which is a 4-channel I2C mux. Is there a reason this device wouldn't work?

    pls correct me I have any missing understanding, TCA9544A should be 1 to 4 channel I2C switch, which function show that is bi-direction, I think TCA9544A also can support 4 to 1 I2C communicate, but i don't know how to select channel from input 4 channel to output 1 when work on 4 to 1 ?

    Technically this device can be used in the way you want, since I2C is bidirectional. However, the side with 1 device would still need to initiate the communication every time one of the 4 devices needs to communicate. The master side is ultimate what enables one of the 4 muxed channels to communicate. So in order for this to work, the INT on the slave side would have to be engaged, then the master side would have to send communication to engage the channel, and then the slave channel could communicate.

    Does this make sense?
