Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB8041, HD3SS3212
HI,
For our application we needed to make a panel that can turn on/off USB data and power. It is a simple (heh) usb pass-through board where a user will plug in their usb device in the front and we run a usb cord out the back. In the middle is the HD3SS6126 which switches the data on/off. We had one made (schematic and one usb of pcb is attached). USB 2.0 works perfectly but we are having problems with the USB 3.0 lines. It is getting a descriptor error 14 out of 15 times I plug in a usb 3.0 device. There are solid ground pours under the lines, the lines are 90 ohms dif paired, and the lines enter the usb connectors from the back plane to reduce the stub size.
What would you recommend to further test the board? Also, what do you see wrong with our design?
Best,
Ian
