DP83640T-EVK: USB interface not working on eval board

We are having a bit of trouble with the eval kit for the DP83640T. The USB interface doesn’t work and the app only works in demo mode. We have installed the driver using ALPUSBDriver and it doesn’t appear to do anything. We’ve searched high and low for a driver for the usb interface chip cy7c68013 and cannot find one even on the cypress semi website. The device manager continually shows unknown device. I’m using Windows 10, x64.

Please advise?

Hi Jatan,

The eval kit for DP83640 was developed long time ago, and thus USB driver may not be compatible with Windows 10 anyway.

There are multiple options to power up the device and access registers without using USB.

You can also follow this link for accessing the PHY over USB interface using MSP430 LaunchPad.
