SN65DSI85: Implimenting a split screen on two display modules

I'm trying to impliment a split screen from on HDMI output, i'm wondering if the SN65DSI85 can accomplish this.

The system block diagram is shown below

Hi Tolu,

The SN65DSI85 is not compatible with HDMI. It is only compatible with MIPI-DSI on its input. The SN65DSI85 can split the screen like you want, but only with DSI.

To achieve this with HDMI I think you will need to use FPD-Link III SerDes like the DS90UB949-Q1 + DS90UB948-Q1. I will go ahead and move this thread to the correct section for verification.

Can the FPD-Link interface between the DS90UB949-Q1 and the DS90UB948-Q1 be implimented in PCB or must it be twisted pair/coaxial cable?

The 949 and the 948 can be implemented on the came PCB without a cable in-between.
