TUSB320: Difference between "Audio accesssory" and "Audio Charged through accessory" mode

Part Number: TUSB320

Hello,

I would like to know the difference between  "Audio accesssory" and "Audio Charged through accessory" mode. Unfortunately I couldn't get much info on these modes.

I'm attaching a USB-C  earphone and  chip "TUSB320" always recognises it as "Audio Charged through accessory". i.e. the read value from the CSR register (address =0x08) is 0x0A.

Regards

Please refer to Appendix A of the USB Type-C Cable and Connector Spec, An analog audio adapter could be a very basic USB Type-C adapter that only has a 3.5 mm jack or it could be an analog audio adapter with a 3.5 mm jack and a USB Type-C receptacle to enable up to 500mA charge-through.

    Thanks
    David
