Hello,

I have a PCB designed with a DSI86. It is connected to another IC which converts the Display Port Signal to an HDMI Signal.

I have some trouble to activate the coulour bar generator. Is there any register sheet help. I'm looking for an example which activates the color bar without the DSI configuration.

Hello David,
Thanks for the sheet. I think I found a bug in it. The Color Bar Register is changing the Bit No. 3 if enabled or disabled. According to the datasheet this one is reserved and Bit No. 4 should be changed.

Nevertheless I have completed displayport Training successfully. The TI chip as well as the next chip in the chain confirm this.
But I do not get any video data at all.
Is there any way to check if the DSI86 is really generating the color bar? Do I need to do some soft reset before he begins transmitting the pattern?
Which video registers are responisble for the pattern resolution?

Does the panel support ASSR? Can you please pull TEST2 pin high, disable ASSR, and see if video works?
