SN75DP159: Eye diagram question

Hello.

We used DP159 got some problems in the test and would like to ask as follows.

1. I would like to ask why the DP159 has the following conditions. But the TMDS181 looks normal.

2. The eye diagram of DP159 cannot be Passed. Is there any other suggestions that can be set? Please kindly reference on below.

3. Can I set a 5dB pre-emphasis? The Eyescan GUI can be set. But 0x0C on SPEC is Reserved.

    Are you using the same source between DP159 and TMDS181 eye diagram? Would you please share a block diagram of your test setup?

    DP159 is a AC coupled input while TMDS181 is a DC coupled input.

    DP159 Eye diagram Measurement method is debug pattern Send by FPGA + HDMI screen.

    TMDS181 Eye diagram measurement method is connected to HDMI Generator + HDMI screen through 181 EVM.

    Any suggestions for questions 2 and 3? Thank you for your help~

    This is a known issue with the EyeScan tool at HDMI2.0. Please take a look at page 11 of the TMDS181 EVM user guide: www.ti.com/.../sllu228a.pdf.

    May I take a look at your HDMI compliance report?

    5dB de-emphasis is removed from datasheet as it will cause compliance failure.

    If you don't have a HDMI connector for your project, how are you able to use Keysight N544A differential head for the signal measurement?
