SN65DSI86: Could we use SN65DSI86 for MIPI DSI D-PHY 1.2 input?

Part Number: SN65DSI86

We want to convert MIPI DSI (4-lane / DSI D-PHY 1.2 or C-PHY 1.0 / VESA DSC 1.1) to DisplayPort, but SN65DSI86 only supports D-PHY 1.1. I'm not sure if we could still use SN65DSI86. Could you help to check this issue? Thank you!

DPHY 1.2 extends the data rate to 2.5G, but SN65DSI86 can only support to 1.5G per lane, so it will not able to support DPHY 1.2.

Thanks for the reply. Does it mean we can use SN65DSI86 if we run the DSI only within 1.2G? Is there any other concerns? If yes, could you let us know what are the max resolutions supported by 1.2G and 2.5G 4-lanes DSI respectively? Thanlk you!

You can have different resolution combination depending on multiple factors. Please see this SN65DSI86 app note: www.ti.com/.../slla425.pdf for the bit rate calculation.
