Hi Champs,

My customer monitored unexpected behavior in INH of both TCAN1043 and SN65HVDA100, as shown in attached file.

Could you check and answer for the question?

In parallel I'm confirming to the customer about the length of Vbattery-off period, and whether Vbattery signals were measured just at Vsup pin of the devices.

    I can't quite read the time resolution of the oscilloscope screenshot, is it 1 second per division?

    This is not expected behavior, the device should start up with INH high if going into Standby/Normal mode, which on a power cycle it should. What are the states of the VCC and VIO pins in this situation?

    And yes, checking the voltage at the VSUP pins would be better to look at, capacitance may be keep the voltage high enough on the pins to where it doesn't actually power cycle, and it remains in Sleep mode.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Customer checked and confirmed that Vsub kept High in case of "Vsup-OFF while devices are in Sleep mode".

    After getting enough Vsup-off period, INH are set High after Vsup recovered, so "unexpected behavior" is closed.

    Customer asked another question, so I will post it to new thread.
