TUSB9261: TUSB9261 - support for UASP?

Hello,

your website states that the TUSB9261 implements the "USB attached SCSI protocol" (UASP), but there is a topic in this forum that this features was deactivated in a newer firmware (1.0.5).

So is this feature dead forever or will it come back at some time?

we disabled due to support issue, but can be activate for special request. do you need it?

I am working on a small (at some point open source) project and comparing USB to SATA ICs (regarding performance, availability, documentation). The throughput is not that important but the IOPS (a database will run on a SSD connected via USB 3.0 because of limitations of most of the singleboard computers). Most online forums state that UASP/UAP will improve the IOPS and a database could benefit from this. But I have not done any real hardware testing by myself yet.

But the amount of chips I would need is very low, so the effort for a special request is probably not worth it.

Maybe I will just design a board and try out your IC. Unfortunately, I could not find a (cheap) "USB-SATA cable" that already uses the TUSB9261 for testing. Most manufacturers of USB-SATA cables use hard-to-find and poorly documented chips...
