TPD12S016: Substitutional part for TPD12S016 to interface AM572x
Could you show me substitutional part for TPD12S016 to interface AM672x? According to the E2E theard below, I2C Vol of AM572x is not enough low to drive TPD12S016.
You are correct that these two chips have a challenged interface.
Unfortunately, the only solution we have found involves adding an additional IC to the system.
The best solution to interfacing the TPD12S016 to the AM672X is to utilize an I2C level shifter between the two chips. The TCA9517A with the A port facing the TPD12S016 will meet the very strict level requirements of the TPD12S016 interface.
