SN65LV1023A: Max junction temperature and max case temperature at recommended operating condition

Part Number: SN65LV1023A

Hi team,

I'm an FAE supporting some industrial customers in Japan.

One of my customer provided a question.

What should we think about Tjmax(max junction temperature) at recommended operating condition?

For instance, taking SN65LV1023ADB as an example, max recommended operating temperature is 85℃.

Then, Tjmax would be derived by taking power dissipation rating(1.27W) and derating at 85℃(10.3mW*60℃) into account as follows.

Tjmax=85℃ + 68.2℃/W * (1.27W-10.3mW*Δ60℃) = 129.4℃

Can we recognize this value as Tjmax or Tcmax(max case temperature) at recommended operating condition?

If it's not, could you please provide Tjmax at recommended operating condition?

I look forward to hearing back from you.

Best regards,

Shota Mago
