TLK2711-SP: Datasheet incomplet

Part Number: TLK2711-SP

Hi,

I am expecting for VIH and VIL input threesholds on the serials receiver of TLK2711-SP (DINRXN and DINRXP) but the datasheet only talk about TTL Input Electrical Characteristics, and don´t say anything about the differential input.

Please can you provide me this information ?

Thanks a lot

  • Matthieu,

Differential inputs do not use VIH and VIL parameters to define input thresholds.

The differential inputs use the parameters Vid and V(cmr) to define the input thresholds.

This is in section 7.6 for the Transmitter/Receiver Electrical Characteristics table.

  • Hi Wade,

I don´t understand how does it work exactly...

In my case, V(cmr) is rightly near 1250 mV, but with this value, how should I define the logic levels ?

    Matthieu
  • What are you trying to define this for? Are you using another piece of lab equipment to drive the TLK2711 RXP/RXN signals?

I have signal generators that can be programmed differentially with complementary outputs. In this case, it would be programmed with an amplitude and an offset. So for minimum input signal amplitude would be 220mV, with offset of 1250mV. This would drive the appropriate minimum Vid.
