SN65DSI84: SN65DSI84 PLL_UNLOCK status

Hi Team

I have a question about SN65DSI84.
As a device, you can confirm that the MIPI input operates normally with LVDS output and that the image is being transmitted normally.
The PLL_UNLOCK bit of 0xE5 is "1".
Although it is stated that it can be cleared by writing 0xFF (RW1C), it does not become clear "0".
What kind of things can be considered?

When 0xE1[PLL_UNLOCK_EN] is "0", does 0xE5[PLL_UNLOCK] become invalid?
When 0xE1[PLL_UNLOCK_EN] is "0", does 0xE5[PLL_UNLOCK] become "1"?

Hi Ishiwata-san,

I believe the bits in register 0xE1 are only used in tandem with register 0XE0 to indicate IRQ events on the IRQ pin, so they are not going to have any effect on register 0xE5.

Is your issue that you are continuously reading "1" in register 0xE5 even after clearing it? Are you observing any issues with the display?

Thank you for your response

The customer is saying. The display is displaying images properly.
Then, when reading after PLL_UNLOCK is cleared, it becomes 1.

However, since it is not checking the waveform, it is not known whether it operates correctly correctly.
Is there a way to check that it is working properly with a hard pin?
Is PLL_UNLOCK set to 1 even if it is locked?

Hi Ishiwata-san,

Sorry I missed your question in your last reply. The method to check it with a hard pin is with the IRQ pin and register 0xE0 and 0xE1. I don't think this is necessary though since you said the image is being transmitted normally. If this is the case then the PLL would obviously still be locked (if it was unlocked then you would see no image at all), and the error you're seeing in the register is probably just a false flag.

By the way, the only difference between SN65DSI84-Q1 and SN65DSI84 is AEC-Q100 and Package, right?
Is there no difference in operation?

Yes that's correct. DSI84-Q1 is just an automotive version of the DSI84. The operation of the devices are the same.
