My customer asked us about tPHL,tPLH and tsk at Receiver Section of MAX3222.

In the specification table below,
1. Please let me know the min, max values of tPHL and tPLH.
2. Please let me know how to calculate the typical value of 300ns of tsk (p) (or measurement method).
3. Please let me know the min and max values of tsk (p).

Hasebe-san,

What's the data rate of your application? In general, the receiver switching characteristics are not the bottleneck. That's why the min and max value are not characterized. The skew is measured at 50% amplitude of the output vs. the crossing of 1.5V with 150pF load. Please let me know if you have more questions.

Hasebe-san,

MAX3222 works with data rate up to 250kbps, which is about 4us bit time. 300ns propagation delay or skew is less than 10% of it. Hopefully it makes sense. Please let me know when you get the information.

I got the data rate from them.
The data rate is 19,200 bps.
If you calculate based on your Information,
The bit time is 52.08 μs.
300 ns propagation delay or skew is less than 1% of it.

Is this correct?
