the impression comes, that the -EP products my be submitted to all the AEC-Q100 tests plus some more stressfull and intensive tests, which would mean that the -EP products fulfill the AEC-Q100 quality requirements and even overcome them. When I compare the difference in costs of both component versions, I could imagine that, but I have a doubt. The question is not specifically for the DP83848-EP, but is more general.
Further, I would like to know how it is decided that some -EP components can be considered as fulfilling the Avionics requirements (for example in both documents sgzb004c and slyc143e and why other -EP components were not listed in these brochures? For example, the SN65HVD30M-EP is considered to fulfill "Avionics" requirements, but why not the complete family of SN65HVD3xM-EP?
