Hello,

The "G4" suffix is used to denote "green" packaging - e.g., RoHS compliance and tin/lead-free. You can read more about it here:

www.ti.com/.../Environmentally_Friendly_Solutions.pdf

There are no functional or parametric differences between G4 and non-G4 parts; the designation only applies to the packaging and not the IC design.

Hi Mohamed,

Historically, TI used the "G4" designator to signify that a device was Green, or, lead free. As time has progressed, most devices are now assembled with lead-free material. So, most of our devices are green even though they lack the G4 marking. The two ICs should be identical in performance. Does that information help?
