    Hey Shu,

    For Tc, I haven't seen the case temperature measured for I2C devices. I believe this is important for devices that have heat sinks but not for our devices.

    For Tj, specifying whether you mean absolute maximum or recommended is important for us to discern which you need. For Tj recommended, because the expected power consumption of this device is expected to be very low, the Tj recommended is about 85C. For absolute maximum Tj you can calculate this by hand from our datasheet.

    Tj=Ta+RthetaJA*Ptotal

    TCA9543A:

    Absolute Ptotal=400mW

    RthetaJA for 102.8C/W

    Tj=126.12C

    Tj recommended for PCA9515B is about 85C as well. For an absolute maximum, this is a bit trickier to figure out. I've searched through our archives but because this device is so old it's harder for me to pinpoint data on the temperature testing. From previous devices around age and process I suspect the Tj max to be around 105C.
