TPS65987D: Using PD controller without MCU

Hi TI,

My system need supply voltage 20Vdc from the adapter supports PD.

I don't need to change VBUS voltage (ex: 5V, 9V, 12V).

TPS65987D Can be used without MCU or memory?

Hi Mason,

TPS65987D can support upto 20V@3A without any external flash and MCU. But to enable 20V@5A you need to use an external SPI flash but no MCU is required.

How can I set 20Vdc without MCU?

Hi Mason,

We have a predefined configurations as part of our ROM firmware in the TPS65987D. You can choose a suitable value of pull-up/pull-down combination to choose a specific configuration with a 20V PDO.

Please see Table 5 & 7 of the datasheet for more information.
