Hi,

I have board with UB960 deserializer and I'm using IMX390 camera, with UB953 serializer. I want to use external PWM signal for frame sync. I'm able to get frame sync signal on UB953 GPIO when BC rate is 50 Mbps (0x58 = 0x5E).

But, due hardware issue currently I'm not able to use 50 Mbps BC, only 25 Mbps. When BC rate is 25 Mbps (0x58 = 0x5D), there is no frame sync signal on UB953 GPIO output.

Is there some limitation on using frame sync over FPD link when BC rate is 25 Mbps, or is there some additional configuration that needs to be done?

Hi Stefan,

For 25 Mbps back channel rate, we would recommend a maximum GPIO frequency of 208 kHz (this limit follows the same logic as Table 12 in the 960 datasheet).

Does the frame sync signal meet this limit?

Hi,

Frame sync frequency that I want to use.is 60 Hz, so I think this is not the problem.

Hi Stefan,

In that case, can you please share register dumps for the 960 and 953 when using 25 Mbps and when using 50 Mbps?

Please make sure to select the port you are using in register 0x4C before saving the register status.

This will let me double-check the configuration.
