XIO2001: ASPM

1. What's the situation that XIO2001 will initial upstream memory write function?

XIO2001 will initiate a upstream memory write whenever there is data passing from a downstream device to the upstream memory space.

2. If PCI device is not a bus master ,is this ASPM issue exist ?

The issue will still exist when PCI device is not the master.

Please follows the errata to avoid this issue.

When we disable ASPM and use Intel Skylake platform with WIN10 OS to test ,The system will hang ,please refer to below picture 

But we use older platform ,the system will workable

Can the customer provide the entire PCIe trace for their test? There seems to be some information missing from the picture above. Also could you confirm with the customer that ASPM_CTRL_DEF_OVRD = 00? If ASPM is disabled the Link should stay up and both XIO2001 and Host should stay in L0 mode.

Is the XIO2001 connected to a "PCIe only" port on their system, or a port with multiple functionality like PCIe/USB/SATA/etc.?
