I am using DP83848i with AM335x. When enabling Auto-negotiation, the time for AUTO-NEGOTIATION COMPLETE flag set to 1 differs when connecting to 10M port and when connecting to 100M port. I roughly measured the time from LINK STATUS flag of BMSR setting to 1 to AUTO-NEGOTIATION COMPLETE flag to set to 1. When connecting to 100M port on switching hub, it takes so fast. When connecting to 10M port, it takes about several hundred mill seconds. I also found below note. Why is the AUTO-NEGOTIATION COMPLETE flag setting time different? And is there any way to reduce this time even for connecting to 10M port?
