DS90UB953-Q1: 4 single lane CMOS MIPI Imagers on single part

Part Number: DS90UB953-Q1

I am wondering if 4 CMOS imagers each configured as single lane MIPI can be connected to each of the 4 lanes of the DS90UB953-Q1 with each of the 4 CMOS imagers setup with a unique virtual channel? The goal being transmitting the 4 imagers over the FPD link.

    Hello John,

    this will unfortunately not work for two reasons:
    1) for each Sensor you will need at least 1 Data lane + 1 CLK lane, and
    2) the Lane distribution of the CSI D-Phy is completely different. So If you configure the 953 to 4 lanes, it will expect the data bits on specific positions and lanes.
