Would 3x DS25BR440 be the best solution for their application?

Hi Anyiam,
Certainly DSBR440 is one option. You did not mention if there is any need for input equalization or lane switching. If this is the case, then your customer can consider DS25CP104 device as well. Here is a link to different devices with input equaliation and lane switching(if needed):
