SN65DSI84: LVDS VCOM adjust

Part Number: SN65DSI84

Hello,

Our customer use the SN65DSI84 with the voltage of LVDS VCOM as 0.9V.

It is mentioned " 1 - 0.9V (CSR 0x1B.5:4 CHA_LVDS_CM_ADJUST must be set to ‘01b’)" at 0x19 register on the DS.

The setting of '01b' is down 3%. Does it means the default voltage is 0.927V?

Best Regards,

Naoki Aoyama

  • Hi Naoki-san,

No the default voltage is 1.2V. I am not sure how the % differences were calculated but these are the results from characterization data:

    CSR 0x19.6 = "0b" and CSR 0x1B.5:4 = "00b", then VOCM is 1.2V
    CSR 0x19.6 = "1b" and CSR 0x1.5:4 = "01b", then VOCM is 0.9V.

    Regards,
    I.K.
  • Hello I.K.-san,

    Thank you for your reply.
    CSR 0x19,6 "0" is 1.2V and "1" is 0.9V.
    CSR 0x1B,5:4 "00" is no change, "01" is down 3%, "10" is up 3% and "11" is up 6%.

If the customer want to set the VCON as 0.9V, TI orders to set the CSR 0x1B,5:4 is "01".
    So I wondered.

    Thanks,
    Naoki Aoyama
