THVD1550: ANSI Standards TIA/EIA-422-B

Hello, I'd like to know if THVD1550 can meet ANSI standards TIA/EIA-422-B also? In the D/S, it just mentioned the TIA/EIA-485 standard. 

Customer is using SN65176B for RS422 and RS485 interface. They'd like to see if any new silicon can replace it. Thanks.

    Brian,

    Yes, THVD1550 can meet TIA/EIA-422-B spec. The comparison between TIA/EIA-485 and TIA/EIA-422-B can be found in this app note (summary Table 4). The major difference is min 2V Vod with 100Ohm (422) and min 1.5V Vod with 54Ohm (485). If you check the spec of section 7.6 on THVD1550 datasheet, you will see both are met.
