PCF8574: fSCL changed from 400kHz to 100kHz

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask PCF8574?
If it is possible, could you let us know the background of fSCL changing from 400kHz to 100kHz?

    Hey Hirotaka-san,

    This device was originally designed to support 100kHz, I do not believe it was meant to support 400kHz.

    The change seemed to happen before I was responsible for the device so I do not know the background as to why they originally stated it to support 400kHz. Likely the change came because the owner at the time realized the device was not designed to handle 400kHz.
