Hello,

I want to realize a board that can be connected to a tablet through type-C USB.

This board is UFP and Power source. Then I want to put TPS65981.

And I also want to put TUSB8020 to connect a USB2.0 device IC and USB3.0 connector.

Then I want to confirm whether the below connection make sense.

Does it make sense?

Hi Oba,

Does the TUSB8020 handle the flip on the Type-C connector for the superspeed lines? If not, an additional mux would be required.

I believe TUSB8020 doesn't support the flip.
What is the best MUX product in this case?

I would suggest looking into the TUSB542.

If you have specific questions on that Type-C Mux, please post a new question with the part number TUSB542.

But TUSB542 looks 0.4mm pitch QFN. Do we have any similar device witch pin pitch is over 0.5mm?

I'm not the correct person to comment on the TUSB542 portfolio. I support the USB PD controllers. Please ask a similar question with TUSB542 as the part number so the correct engineer would be assigned to respond.
