DS90UB933-Q1: Can two pieces DS90UB933-Q1 connecting to one DS90UH940 topology work

Hi Team,

My customer want to use 2 pieces DS90UB933-Q1 to get 2 cameras input (considering the camera can be supported by UB933), output is STP cable, then using STP cable to transmit the data to one DS90UH940-Q1, to get 2 CSI2 output for the processor. The topology is as below.

As I don't have enough experience on this topology, can you help me on answering whether this topology will work? Any reliability concerns on this?

Hello Steven,

this topology will not work because the 940 is not compatible with the 933. I suggest they use the UB954 instead of the 940.
954 has 2 inputs and 1 CSI-2 output and it is compatible with the 933.
As alternative they can use the UB936 instead of the UB954, if the image resolution is not very high.
